Summer dress steals…..

It won’t have escaped followers of my Instagram that I’m partial to a summer dress or five……and this year I’ve tried to steer away from my usual denim shorts and tees and incorporate more feminine colourful dresses into my summer wardrobe.

I’m also partial to a bit of supermarket multi tasking (Aldi middle aisle random buys anyone?!) so imagine my delight when I spotted my summer dress of dreams in Sainsburys! What caught my eye initially was the Cath Kidston-esque Santorini print in a gorgeous deap blue colour. It’s also a midi length, 100% cotton and has pockets. I mean there isn’t really any more you could ask from a dress!

Having tried on a few sizes my advice would be to size down as it’s fairly roomy and has a bit of give due to the button down front – (in fact I find this with most of Tu Clothing’s sizes.) Its fully lined which, for a supermarket dress, is unusual and looks far more expensive than its £20 price tag! My advice is run whilst it’s still in stock!

The dress got its debut when we popped down to Devon for a night in June and it couldn’t have been more fitting for an afternoon strolling round Salcombe, drinking Pimms in the sun and eating ice cream on the beach.

Other notable entries for my summer dress steals of 2018 have to also include these two from Oasis which at the time of writing are both in the sale!  I couldn’t not have a striped dress in the round up and this linen beauty is perfect for hot days in the office. Whilst the almost neon yellow floaty number is perfect for summer BBQ’s and parties. In fact I’ve probably got all bases covered with these 3 dresses and should really delete all shopping apps off my phone pronto…..!

So next time you pop into Sainsbury’s for a pint of milk and loaf of bread I highly recommend checking out the clothing aisles as your summer dress of dreams might be waiting for you there!
